Terrence Romeo presides on San Miguel's offense anew and leads the Beermen to their second straight win in the PBA On Tour.
The Terrence Romeo show continues in the Philippine Basketball Association On Tour.
A multiple-time scoring champion, Romeo is slowly but surely rediscovering his old, deadly form as he flaunted yet another solid game in leading San Miguel to a one-sided 90-78 win over Barangay Ginebra ib Sunday at Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Romeo knocked in 10 of his 21 points to lead the charge anew for the Beermen, who notched their second straight win after dropping their opening game in this preseason tournament.
Four other players ended up in double figures – Jericho Cruz (18), CJ Perez (15), Rodney Brondial (12) and Allyn Bulanadi (10).
Brondial capped his big game by pulling down 16 rebounds for a double-double performance and led the Beermen's dominance of the boards.
With Brondial muscling his way, San Miguel outrebounded Ginebra, 60-44.
Also winning Sunday was Meralco, which outplayed Converge, 96-88, in the other game.
The Bolts displayed their awesome balance firepower as seven players scored nine points or more.
Allein Maliksi only hit 1-of-7 shots from beyond the arc, but he still led the Bolts' production with 16 points on top of six rebounds.
But two players wound up with a double-double performance for Meralco.
Raymond Almazan ended up with 11 points and 14 rebounds and also coming away with two blocks to become the most efficient player in his team's latest win. The 6-foot-8 center from Letran wound up with a +24 in plus-minus efficiency rating.
Cliff Hodge also had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds while also blocking two shots and churning out a +17 in efficiency rating.
Anjo Caram stepped up and produced 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field while Bong Quinto and Alvin Pasaol had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
