The local government of Manila is reminding its citizens anew to get inoculated against the coronavirus disease even as more transmissible variants of the deadly respiratory disease is becoming more prevalent.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna is also urging those who have not had any vaccination to get inoculated and called on the residents to continue observing the minimum health protocols amid the holiday season.
This comes after data from the city health office disclosed that there are still residents who are infected with Covid-19 and reported virus-related deaths recently.
The Manila mayor also stressed that residents should still wear masks in places where transmission possibility is high and physical distancing is not possible.
