Nagbabalik na muli sa limelight ang aktres na si Cheska Ortega matapos niyang mawala pansamantala dahil tinapos niya muna ang pag-aaral niya sa abroad.

Sampung taon siyang namalagi sa Amerika, in San Francisco in particular, para mag-aral and eventually ay magtrabaho doon kung saan tinapos niya ang kursong Psychology na may masteral in Human Resources, sa University of Southern California.

Ngayong nasa bansa na siya, balik sa pag-aartista ang dalaga at ngayon ay under na siya ng Viva Artist Agency.

"My biggest realization while I'm away from showbiz is that I miss it so much," sabi ni Cheska. "Parang I left the Philippines when I turned 18 for school. Tapos, when I was in the States I really stopped performing cause my focus talaga was school, work, become financially independent, and I did all that."

At makalipas ang mahabang taon ay bigla na lang umano niyang naisip na na-miss niya ang showbiz at ang pagpe-perform.

"Parang I really miss doing what I love to do. For some reason, this year, I was like, 'You know, I really miss the Philippines, I miss performing. How many more years left do I have left? I'm getting older,'" dagdag pa niya.

"Parang I have this big realization and that's why I'm here. I just want to live the rest of my life, doing what I love to do. I'm gonna figure it out. I'm ready to give it my all. Parang I realized, 'What I'm doing with my life?' I don't know if anyone can relate. But you know, when you have a midlife crisis, you kinda reflect on your life and see what's the next decade of your life [is going to be]," paliwanag pa niya.

"That's what happened to me. That prompted me to go after my dreams and go back home and try it out once again because it's what I love to do.
