Na-release na mula sa female jail dormitory sa Camp Karingal, Quezon City, si Lakambini "Lakam" Chiu Huwebes matapos mag-post ng P5.6 milyong piyansa sa pamamagitan ng surety bond. Nakalaya siya mula sa  Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory bandang 5:30  ng hapon.

Wala si Lakam sa Chiu arraignment ng kaso niya at ang legal counsel niyang si Atty. Dominic Solis ang dumalo through video conferencing. Naghain si Lakam ng not guilty plea sa kanyang kinakaharap na kaso.

“Our client entered the plea of not guilty to the charges of qualified theft via video conferencing,” sabi ni Solis.

“Our client is holding up quite well considering the circumstances,” dagdag pa niya.

Sumipot si Kim Chiu sa arraignment kasama ang Star Magic Head na si Laurenti Dyogi. Magkasama silang dumating sa Quezon City Hall of Justice.

Ayon sa legal counsel ni Kim at ng House of Little Bunny Philippines, Inc. (HOLB-PH), determinado silang i-pursue ang mga kaso laban kay Lakam.

“Our clients are dedicated to pursue the cases against Lakam Chiu. We are precluded by the courts to make comments because of the sub judice rule.

"For now, the arraignment was concluded and the cases will continue to be heard by the court," say ni Atty. Margrein Archernar M. Gregana.
