BAGUIO CITY — A high school teacher died while being treated at a hospital after being shot twice by still unidentified gunmen along the Abra-Ilocos Sur Road of Barangay Lipcan in Bangued, Abra Wednesday morning.
Reports identified the victim as Rudy Steward Dugmam Sayen, a native of Boliney, Abra and a teacher of the Suyo National High School in Pidigan town.
Investigations revealed that the victim was on board his motorcycle going to the school where he is teaching when another motorcycle with two people aboard tailed him and after reaching a certain portion of the road, one of them shot the teacher.
The suspects then fled towards Barangay Santa Rosa in Bangued.
Sayen sustained gunshot wounds on the left of his back and on his neck.
The Abra Police is conducting a deeper investigation and in hot pursuit of the unknown killers.
