To boost the number of European investors in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) provided the members of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) a glimpse of the Freeport’s investment opportunities and business environment.

During a company visit to the BFD Global Footwear Manufacturing Inc. on 14 October 2026, the AFAB showcased the Freeport’s investment ecosystem, key industries, and opportunities for local and international businesses.

The agency also highlighted the economic zone’s role in supporting manufacturing and other industrial activities, with BFD Global Footwear serving as an example of an enterprise operating within the Freeport.

Representatives from Siemens, Inc., PV² Energie Philippines Inc., and Stamm International Inc. participated in the activity. The company visit gave the delegation an opportunity to learn about BFD’s operations while gaining a better understanding of the business environment in which the company operates.

The engagement also served as an avenue for AFAB to introduce its investment offerings to GPCCI member companies and discuss the FAB’s potential for businesses seeking to establish or expand their operations in the Philippines.

Through its participation in industry engagements, AFAB continues to connect with business organizations and introduce the advantages of locating within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

German investors are among the international businesses maintaining a presence in the FAB, alongside enterprises from countries like South Korea, Taiwan, China, the United States, Japan, Britain, France, and Bahrain.
