Liza backs youth, community programs

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos met recently with Lizzy Razon, the wife of International Container Terminal Services Inc. chairman Enrique K. Razon Jr., and family law advocate Atty. Katrina Legarda for the “Fostering the Future Together” initiative.
“Initial meeting about Fostering the Future Together with Lizzy Razon and Katrina Legarda,” the First Lady said in a post on her official Facebook page.
The meeting focused on a collaboration among the government, foundations, and the private sector on programs that promote opportunities for the youth and advance community development.
The initiative seeks to strengthen coordination and joint efforts to create more opportunities for future generations.
Razon is involved in efforts to protect abused women and children through the Child Protection Network and provides scholarships for students in need.
She has also supported disaster relief efforts and raised calamity funds, including during typhoons ‘Ondoy” and “Pepeng,” as well as provided housing for the urban poor and is involved in other social welfare initiatives.
Legarda, meanwhile, is a prominent lawyer specializing in family law and is an advocate for the rights of women and children.
