ATFX chairman Joe Li visited SmarTrade in Makati City in September, highlighting the importance of trust, leadership and accessible financial education in the organizations’ nearly nine-year partnership.
SmarTrade serves as ATFX’s local education partner, providing trading insights and risk management training through free online and in-person learning sessions.
During a welcome event, Li spoke with the SmarTrade team and discussed his views on effective leadership, particularly the role of trust and collaboration.
“One thing that I think needs to be essential is people willing to listen to you,” Li said, citing consideration, guidance, expertise and a strong work ethic as qualities that can encourage teams to work together.
Li also urged the SmarTrade team to lead by example and become role models for those they serve.
“It all starts with making yourself one of the role models,” he said.
The visit highlighted the importance of credibility and responsible leadership in financial education, particularly as SmarTrade’s educators help learners understand financial markets, risk management and online trading.
According to the company, SmarTrade has conducted 2,913 free online and in-person learning sessions, reaching nearly 50,000 people during its partnership with ATFX.
The organizations said the engagement underscores the role of financial education in helping Filipinos build market knowledge, understand risks and make more informed decisions about financial market participation.
SmarTrade said it will continue providing accessible learning opportunities and educational resources through its website and social media channels.
