16-city 'Barangay Panalo' program launched

Retail supermarket chain Puregold Price Club Inc. has launched a nationwide community program to mark its 28th corporate anniversary, combining retail promotions with local infrastructure and relief projects across 16 locations.
The initiative, designated Puregold Barangay Panalo, runs through 28 November and targets neighborhood-level needs, including the construction of community pantries, basketball court refurbishments, and the distribution of rescue boats to flood-prone areas.
Puregold president Vincent Co said the program reflects the company's focus on neighborhood-level engagement as it expands its retail footprint.
"For 28 years, Puregold has been a proud partner of communities in their growth journey," Co said in a statement. "With Puregold Barangay Panalo, our goal is to reward them in ways that truly matter, not just prizes or discounts but tangible projects that would make a lasting impact on these neighborhoods."
The multi-city tour begins this month and includes scheduled stops across Metro Manila, Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Participating sites include Las Piñas, Quezon City, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Taguig, Pasig, Bacoor, Taytay, Dau, Cebu, and Siargao.
Residents can participate by registering on-site at designated locations to receive activity passes for promotional events and community project consultations.
The outreach program is supported by dozens of fast-moving consumer goods manufacturers and brand partners supplying Puregold's national distribution network.
