The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino distributed food relief to 10 families in Pasay City affected by severe urban flooding and localized construction disruptions.

The relief initiative targeted residents from Barangay 191-Zone 20, Barangay Electrical, who are currently experiencing severe financial and operational hardships due to community disruptions.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, Honorary Consul General of San Marino to the Philippines and president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, personally led the distribution drive at the consulate headquarters in Makati.

"During challenging times, it is important to be present and extend support where it can make a difference," Lhuillier said. "Through this initiative, we hope to provide these families with some much-needed assistance as they navigate the difficulties brought by the situation in their community."

Consulate officials selected the beneficiary families based on immediate location and financial need to provide direct emergency aid to affected households.

Residents expressed appreciation for the food packs, noting that the assistance helped ease their immediate burdens following recent flooding.

Diplomatic representatives said the initiative reflects the European republic's commitment to community solidarity and civic support within its host country.
