Xiaomi introduces four new REDMI Note smartphones, led by the first-ever REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, bringing REDMI Titan Durability and a Built for Years philosophy to the mid-range segment.
Xiaomi today unveiled the REDMI Note 17 Series, the latest generation of its best-selling smartphone lineup, with four new models designed to go further, last longer, and keep up with everyday life.
Leading the new lineup is the first-ever REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, bringing together a bold new design, REDMI Titan Durability, flagship-grade experiences, and Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery at 10,000mAh. Joining it are the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17.
Together, the four devices bring REDMI’s Built for Years philosophy to more users, combining bigger batteries, faster charging, enhanced water and drop resistance, and an all-new design, all while keeping flagship-inspired experiences accessible.
The launch also marks a major milestone for the REDMI Note Series, which has now surpassed 500 million shipments worldwide. Generation after generation, the series has stayed true to what earned that trust: “premium products made accessible, and premium quality across every product.”
With the REDMI Note 17 Series, Xiaomi is taking that promise further by building smartphones designed to deliver a dependable experience not just on day one, but for years to come.
REDMI Titan Durability: Built to Last, Made to Trust
At the heart of the new lineup is REDMI Titan Durability, Xiaomi’s approach to long-term smartphone reliability, designed around the ways people actually use their devices every day.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G are the first smartphones in the industry to earn TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Durability Certification, a new durability standard co-developed with TÜV SÜD under the philosophy of “built to last, made to trust.”
The certification evaluates three critical areas of long-term reliability: drop resistance, water resistance, and battery performance. Testing covers mechanical impact, vibration, collision, port and button lifecycle, extended water submersion, temperature cycling, mechanical shock, high-cycle charging, and long-range endurance.
Both Pro models achieved full certification across all three dimensions. Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 carry TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification, validating their battery longevity to the same rigorous standard.
And durability goes beyond hardware. The entire series comes with up to six years of security updates, while selected models offer up to six years of battery health. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G goes even further with a six-year like-new software experience, helping keep the phone smooth and reliable over time.
Bigger Batteries. Faster Charging. More Freedom.
When it comes to staying powered, the REDMI Note 17 Series goes big.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G packs Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery: a massive 10,000mAh capacity with 16% silicon content. In select markets, it comes with a 9,210mAh battery, while delivering the same fast-charging and long-cycle-life performance.
With 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is built for users who need their phone to keep up from morning to night—and beyond.
It can deliver up to three days of battery life on a single charge, while just 20 minutes of charging can provide a full day of use.
The rest of the lineup is equally focused on endurance. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G features an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 each feature a 7,700mAh battery with 45W turbo charging.
All four models use the REDMI Titan Battery System, which combines advanced silicon-carbon battery technology with intelligent power management.
Supported by a smart battery management system, the batteries retain 80% or more of their original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of typical use. Battery performance is further validated by TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification, following rigorous testing for cycle lifespan, endurance, impact resistance, and performance under extreme temperatures.
Tough on the outside, Protected within
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G feature REDMI Titan Structure, a reinforced hardware architecture built to handle the physical demands of everyday life.
Both Pro models feature advanced waterproof architecture with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. They have also passed a demanding two-meter, 72-hour water-resistance test and introduce Underwater Mode for the first time.
Across the entire series, reliable dust and water resistance helps protect against everyday splashes, while Wet Touch Technology 2.0 intelligently detects water, oil, foam, and sweat to keep touch interactions precise and responsive.
Accidental drops are also no match for the Pro models. Backed by SGS certification, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G have been tested to withstand drops from up to three meters onto granite surfaces. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 adds another layer of protection against everyday drops and scratches.
Inside, a high-strength motherboard, reinforced MDA mid-frame, and impact-absorbing cushion design work together to protect critical components from accidental impacts.
Durability Meets a More Refined Design
Being built to last does not mean compromising on style.
The REDMI Note 17 Series introduces a cleaner, more contemporary design language, featuring a redesigned camera module, flat display, gently rounded corners, and a dual-finish back panel.
On the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, an upgraded mid-frame creates a more seamless transition between the rear cover and frame, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable feel in hand. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G also features a metal camera runway, adding depth and layering to its distinctive design.
The lineup also introduces expressive new finishes.
Exclusive to the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Cloud Blush features a photochromic back cover that shifts from cloud white to a warm pink-orange tone under UV light. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G comes in Satin Orange, featuring a new Glitter Process that creates unique patterns on every device, and Sky Blue, with a soft azure finish for a fresh, vibrant look.
Flagship Experiences Without the Flagship Price
A smartphone built for years should not feel outdated after a few months.
The REDMI Note 17 Series combines long-term durability with flagship-grade display, performance, audio, and camera capabilities, giving users an experience designed to remain rewarding throughout ownership.
Bigger, Brighter, More Immersive
The Pro models feature a 6.83-inch display, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 offer an even larger 6.99-inch display, making the series well suited for streaming, gaming, and everyday entertainment.
On the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, upgraded flagship-level luminous materials deliver up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, while 1.5K resolution brings vivid colors, deep contrast, and sharp detail to every scene.
With a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, interactions feel fast and responsive.
Audio gets a boost, too. Across the series, speakers deliver loud and clear sound for media, ringtones, and notifications. On the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, users can turn things up even further with up to a 400% volume boost.
Power for play, work, and everything in Between
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, built to handle intensive gaming, 4K content, and heavy multitasking with ease.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G delivers smooth and reliable performance for everyday entertainment and productivity, while both Pro models support up to 24GB RAM through Memory Extension to help keep apps running seamlessly in the background.
The REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 round out the lineup with efficient performance tuned for smooth daily use.
AI also becomes a more natural part of the REDMI Note experience. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features Xiaomi HyperAI for advanced productivity and creative assistance, while Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google are available across the entire REDMI Note 17 Series.
Capture more, create More
From everyday snapshots to memorable portraits, the REDMI Note 17 Series is designed to deliver true-to-life results with greater clarity and realism.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G enhances portrait photography with natural skin tones, rich facial details, and vibrant colors across a wide range of lighting conditions.
For creators, dual-video recording is supported across the series, allowing users to capture stories from multiple perspectives. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G also supports 4K 30fps video recording for greater clarity and detail.
On the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, Professional Video mode and Live Moment make it easier to capture, edit, and share content.
AI Creativity Assistant further expands creative possibilities with intelligent photo-enhancement tools.
