ACCIONA and Aboitiz Construction Inc. have formed a joint venture to enter the Philippine integrated facilities management market.

The partnership, called ACCIONA Facility Management Philippines, will combine ACCIONA’s global facilities management capabilities with Aboitiz Construction’s local presence and engineering expertise.

The joint venture will provide integrated facilities management services covering maintenance and technical services, business process outsourcing, logistics, support services, cleaning and housekeeping.

It will target sectors such as pharmaceuticals, industrial facilities, corporate environments and transport infrastructure across the Philippines.

The companies said technology and innovation will be central to the venture’s operations, with digital tools, lean methodologies and other processes aimed at improving efficiency and service quality.

For Aboitiz Construction, the partnership marks an expansion into integrated facilities management while building on its 50 years of engineering and technical experience.

“Partnering with ACCIONA combines our strong local presence and 50 years of engineering experience with global expertise in integrated facilities management to deliver world-class solutions in the Philippines,” Aboitiz Construction President and Chairman Anton Mari Perdices said.

Aboitiz Construction Executive Director Antonio Peñalver said the company selected ACCIONA because of its capabilities and international expansion model.

“We chose ACCIONA because of their competence, internal capabilities, and their successful model of international expansion, alongside the alignment between our values and the way we believe the business should be conducted,” Peñalver said.

For ACCIONA, the partnership establishes a presence in the Philippine integrated facilities management market and provides a platform for expansion in the country.

ACCIONA Facility Services Global Head Maximiliano Ades said the company plans to bring its international experience to complex facilities in the Philippines.

ACCIONA operates facilities management projects in 10 countries, while Aboitiz Construction has experience across infrastructure, industrial and asset management sectors.

The companies said the joint venture aims to build a scalable nationwide platform for integrated facility operations and asset management while supporting employment and local talent development.
