The Eastern Police District (EPD) scored another significant accomplishment after operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit arrested five drug suspects and seized more than P204,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Marikina City.
The operation was conducted at about 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, 12 September, along Jasmine Street, Twinville Subdivision, Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City, following a validated anti-illegal drug operation plan and coordination with the appropriate agencies.
Nabbed during the operation were alias Shar, a 34-year-old female, together with four males–Ed, 57; Dar, 32; Ian, 34; and Boy, 44.
Confiscated from the suspects were eight sachets containing approximately 30.01 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P204,680, along with the marked money used in the operation.
The arrested suspects were brought to the District Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation and processing prior to the filing of charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
