  • SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Government work and classes at all levels in public and private schools across Pampanga will be suspended starting noon on Tuesday, 8 September, in observance of the 70th Canonical Coronation Anniversary of the Virgen de los Remedios.

Gov. Lilia G. Pineda issued Executive Order No. 14-2026 on 26 August declaring the suspension throughout the province.

“In order to give full meaning to the occasion, it is necessary that all devotees are given all opportunity to participate in the event, and thus, to declare suspension of work in government offices and classes in schools throughout the Province,” the order stated.

San Fernando Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag also affirmed the suspension in the city, covering public and private schools and city government transactions beginning at noon on 8 September.

Essential services, including disaster risk reduction, health, social services and other emergency response operations, will remain fully operational to ensure uninterrupted public service.
