Authorities apprehended two Filipino women wanted for multiple criminal cases at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Pasay City following a coordinated operation involving the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Anti-Transnational Crimes Unit (CIDG-ATCU), and other government agencies on Saturday, 5 September.

CIDG-ATCU coordinated with NAIA Police Station (NPS 1) regarding the arrival of the two passengers from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who were subjects of outstanding Warrants of Arrest. NPS 1 subsequently coordinated with the Bureau of Immigration and the concerned airline for their monitoring and interception.

Upon arrival, the passengers were intercepted at the arrival area and, after immigration processing, escorted to NPS 1 for the joint implementation of the warrants.

The operation was carried out by personnel of NPS 1, CIDG-ATCU, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Philippine Center on Transnational Crime/INTERPOL National Central Bureau.

The multiple warrants of arrest involved cases for estafa, syndicated eztafa, violations of the Securities Regulation Code, BP 22, and related offenses, with various bail amounts imposed. Several cases in Batangas City carried no bail.

Both accused failed to present valid release orders. They were informed of the charges and apprised of their constitutional rights, with an Alternative Recording Device used during the arrest.

The two accused were turned over to CIDG-ATCU for documentation and proper disposition.
