Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) secured three major honors at the 14th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2026, including the Best Boutique Developer award, during the ceremony held on 20 August 2026 at Shangri-La The Fort.

The Davao-based developer was named Best Boutique Developer for the second consecutive year and the third time since 2020. It was also the only Mindanao-homegrown property developer recognized in the category this year, according to the company.

DLI president Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo said the recognition underscored Mindanao’s growing role in real estate development.

“Being recognized for these prestigious awards is a powerful validation that Mindanao is leading the way in real estate innovation. Damosa Land remains steadfast in its mission to deliver world-class yet mindful projects that drive investment potential and create lasting value for generations to come,” Lagdameo said.

DLI’s TRYP by Wyndham Samal also received two awards — Best Investment Condo Development and Best Beachfront Condotel Architectural Design.

The project, which broke ground in January 2026, was also identified by the company as the first project approved under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s newly launched Securing and Expanding Capital in Real Estate Non-Traditional Securities (SEC-RENT) framework.

The Best Investment Condo Development award recognized factors including the project’s location, rental yield, potential for capital appreciation and property management services. Its architectural design award highlighted its coastal design, climate-resilient infrastructure and layouts designed to maximize ocean views.

Slated for completion in 2028, TRYP by Wyndham Samal is designed as a contemporary island hotel inspired by the traditional Bahay na Bato. The project incorporates stone foundations, timber elements and expansive rooflines into a modern tropical hospitality concept.

The development will bring the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand to the Island Garden City of Samal, with DLI saying the project has already sold 70 percent of its units while construction is underway.

The awards come as DLI expands its portfolio in Mindanao, including the Agriya agritourism township, Anflo Industrial Estate, Bridgeport marina lifestyle community, Damosa IT Park and residential developments Kahi Estates, Ameria and Agriya Gardens.

Lagdameo said the company’s development strategy goes beyond individual properties by creating spaces for residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality and community uses.

“Our goal has always been to create ecosystems in every project that we build—places where people can live, work, invest, do business, and build their futures,” Lagdameo said. He added that the company wants its developments to benefit both the communities within them and those surrounding them.
