Kadayawan and only

As a plus, Davao City is extremely safe, and the people are friendly, perhaps because they are so prosperous.

DAVAO CITY — Manila-based W-Autosports Racing displayed total domination by winning most awards in the 2026 Hot August Races (HAR) ⅛ Mile Legal Drag Racing held over the weekend at the Couvade’s Business Park grounds here.

Leading the charge for W-Autosports Racing is veteran driver Vannie Garcia who rode his fully modified Honda CRX aka Honey 2 to win the Quick 8 Races by running consistently on 6.8s cruising the 250-meter track leaving past closest foe Kyle Dumbrique of team Classic in the finals.

He added a Class A category top podium finish still with consistent 6.8 runs this time beating tough competitor Adrian Go and his Nissan GTR for another title to his cabinet of championships.

“It is a great win for the team,” said the veteran Garcia who also competes in races in Clark after he was also named Top Qualifier of the Race for clocking the competition’s best with 6.85 seconds.

W-Autosports Racing team manager Edwin Torres also added another top winning podium finish for his squad by winning the Class B category leaving past Cedie Majid Labajao in the finals via breakout on his fully modified Daihatsu Charade.

In Class C, Vic Tarranza outmatched Ronald Camiguing in the finals while team Classic’s Hennessy Celi won the Best Reaction time award with .5036.

The Hot August Races (HAR) legal drag racing event also celebrated its 23rd year anniversary making it Davao City’s longest legal drag racing event part of the 2026 Kadayawan celebration.
