The Department of Justice (DOJ) maintained that its renewed strategic direction will remain anchored on its commitment to providing fair, accessible and effective justice.
This as the DOJ reviewed its vision, mission and core values as part of efforts to strengthen its strategic direction and prepare for the formulation of its 2027-2033 Development Plan.
Officials and leaders of the department recently met for a session on “Revisiting the DOJ Vision, Mission, and Core Values (VMV)” recently at the Diamond Hotel Manila.
The gathering was sponsored by the European Union-funded Governance in Justice (EU-GO JUST) program.
The DOJ said the session focused on reviewing and validating the department’s VMV to ensure that these remain aligned with its legal mandate, strategic priorities and long-term goals.
It said the activity provided its leadership with an opportunity to establish a common strategic foundation for the department’s programs and initiatives in the coming years.
The department’s review also forms part of preparations for the DOJ 2027-2033 Development Plan, which will set the department’s direction and priorities for the period.
The DOJ aims to strengthen coordination within the department and build a more responsive and future-ready institution.
