London
Dreaming of a European escape? Getting there just got a whole lot easier and more stylish. Singapore Airlines (SIA) is elevating its network connectivity for Filipino travelers with a robust expansion across Europe, featuring increased flight frequencies to major cultural hubs and the launch of an exciting new destination.
Beginning October 2026, SIA will introduce a five-times-weekly service to Madrid via Barcelona aboard the spacious Airbus A350-900. Known for its world-class museums, magnificent Royal Palace, and vibrant energy, Spain’s capital becomes SIA’s 15th European gateway.
To match growing wanderlust, SIA is also ramping up frequencies to several favorites: Manchester (scaling up to daily flights); London Gatwick (adding a second daily tranche for the winter season, boosting total London services to an impressive six times daily alongside Heathrow); Milan (transitioning to daily flights starting 25 October; and Munich (adding a new three-times-weekly service starting 26 October, totaling 10 weekly flights).
Marking 60 years of service in the Philippines, general manager Liwei Tai shares that these enhancements reflect a continued commitment to seamless, high-end travel via the Singapore hub. Whether flying directly from Manila and Cebu via SIA or connecting seamlessly through regional partner Scoot, Filipino jetsetters now have a wealth of convenient choices to experience Europe’s finest art, business and leisure destinations.
