More than 1,400 Nagueños are set to secure land ownership through the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP), a people-centered housing initiative under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, led by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
The Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC), a key DHSUD shelter agency, awarded loan assistance to the Mabolo Village Homeowners’ Association Phases 1 and 2 and the Saint Joseph Homeowners Association during a ceremony last Wednesday in Barangay Pacol, Naga City, held in observance of Jesse Robredo Day.
Representing DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, Assistant Secretary Johnson Domingo joined Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and SHFC president and CEO Federico Laxa in recognizing the three communities, which are now a step closer to securing ownership of the land they call home.
With the latest beneficiaries from 420 families, more than 800 families in Naga City have now benefited from ECMP projects. In June, SHFC also extended assistance to two other ECMP communities in the city, further strengthening the government’s efforts to provide secure tenure to organized low-income communities.
