Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling and Social Housing Finance Corporation President Federico Laxa will lead Monday’s awarding of at least 913 land titles to families under the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP).
The beneficiaries belong to homeowners’ and neighborhood associations from various regions.
The program is part of the Marcos administration’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino, or 4PH, housing program.
Since Aliling assumed office last year, the DHSUD has approved 47 ECMP projects benefiting about 8,000 families nationwide, according to the department.
The ECMP provides land tenure security to organized communities through the acquisition and development of properties occupied by informal settler families.
“Today, more than 3,000 people will receive the land titles they have been waiting for for many years,” Aliling said.
He said the department would continue expanding the program to help more families secure the land on which they live.
