Toyota Motor Philippines has opened the qualifying round for the 2026 TGR Philippines Esports GT Championship. Players can earn a place in the national tournament through onsite or online qualifiers.
Qualifiers run from 17 August to 13 September. Participants who do not own a PlayStation can take their qualifying runs at 11 GR performance dealerships across Luzon and Cebu.
The participating outlets are Toyota Makati, Toyota Alabang, Toyota Silang, Toyota San Fernando in Pampanga, Toyota Calamba, Toyota Cebu City, Toyota Otis, Toyota Commonwealth, Toyota Manila Bay, Toyota Global City and Toyota Santa Rosa.
Players may also qualify from home if they have a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, Gran Turismo 7, an active PlayStation Network account and a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Both onsite and online entrants must register through tinyurl.com/TGRPh-Esports-Reg to reserve a schedule.
Toyota has added a Junior Class to this year’s tournament. It is open to participants aged 18 and below. Racers aged 19 and older will compete in the Sporting Class.
Previous editions placed all drivers in one group before the top three represented the Philippines in the regional finals.
The Junior Class now gives younger racers their own division and a chance to earn one of the country’s three regional slots.
The 10 fastest qualifiers from each class will advance to the National Finals at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on 27 September. Twenty players will compete for three places in the regional finals.
The champions of the Junior and Sporting classes will secure the first two slots. The third will go to the runner-up from either division who has the higher points total after the final round of the National Finals.
Each class champion will receive P100,000. The two runners-up will take home P75,000 each. Toyota will also award cash prizes and TGR merchandise to other national finalists.
The esports series serves as Toyota’s entry point for drivers who want to test themselves in organized sim racing. Past winners later competed in the TGR Philippine Cup, which connects the virtual championship to Toyota’s circuit racing program.
Qualifying began two days after Race Weekend 3 of the 2026 TGR Philippine Cup ended on 15 August. The National Finals will decide which sim racers continue to the regional stage.
