More than P115,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two street-level suspects during a targeted buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Tuesday night.

The anti-illegal drug operation was conducted around 8:10 p.m. in Barangay Tanyag by joint elements of the local police station's drug enforcement unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Law enforcement operatives arrested two male suspects, aged 35 and 28, immediately after they consummated an illicit transaction with an undercover police officer acting as a poseur-buyer.

Recovered from the crime scene were seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The seized contraband weighs approximately 17 grams and holds an estimated standard drug lrice value of P115,600.

The suspects are currently detained and facing imminent criminal charges for violations of Section 5 for the sale and Section 11 for the possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
