Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) General Manager Cipriano “Perry” Martinez III was recognized by the 4th Marine Brigade for the cooperative’s support to troops stationed at Cape Bojeador Camp in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.
Martinez received the recognition during the Coastal Defense Regiment’s 6th Activation Day at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig, held under the theme, “6 Years of Being Brave, Resilient, and Agile in Securing the Seas of the North.”
The 4th Marine Brigade cited INEC’s assistance in maintaining the power supply and providing other support to personnel stationed at Cape Bojeador Camp, a strategic military facility along Ilocos Norte’s northern coastline.
Maj. Gen. Vicente Blanco III, PN(M), thanked INEC and Martinez for their cooperation in helping sustain essential services for troops assigned to the area.
INEC has maintained coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines in supporting the Cape Bojeador facility and its personnel.
The recognition highlights continuing coordination between military and civilian agencies in areas considered vital to the country’s northern maritime security.
The activation anniversary was attended by Coastal Defense Regiment officers, local government officials and other stakeholders.
