Two separate anti-illegal drug operations in Pangasinan early Monday, August 17, resulted in the arrest of two suspected street-level individuals and the confiscation of a combined 1.16 grams of suspected shabu, police said.
In Alcala, police arrested a 44-year-old single tricycle driver identified as “M,” a resident of Bayambang, during a buy-bust operation.
The operation was carried out by the Alcala Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1 (PDEA RO1).
Police said the operation resulted in the recovery of one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 0.16 gram of suspected shabu, with a stated standard drug price of ₱1,088.
Also seized were a genuine ₱1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, a ₱1,000 boodle bill, a red-and-black Rusi tricycle an Anbernic Gameboy phone, a franchise document for a TODA, and a black belt bag.
A second operation was conducted in Sto. Tomas, also in coordination with PDEA RO1.
The Sto. Tomas Police Station arrested a 39-year-old single, jobless man identified as “M,” a resident of the municipality.
Authorities said the suspect yielded one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing one gram of suspected shabu, with a stated standard drug price of ₱6,800.
Police also recovered a ₱500 bill used as buy-bust money and a cigarette box.
Authorities said the inventory and marking of the confiscated evidence in both operations were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspects and mandatory witnesses, in accordance with legal requirements.
The arrested suspects and the seized items were turned over to the appropriate authorities for documentation and further legal proceedings.
