Safer QC schools.

(August 14 2026) Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte leads the launching of the unified school safety framework and emergency protocols, a citywide initiative aimed at strengthening campus safety and protecting students through closer coordination among local officials, schools, families, barangays, law enforcement agencies, and non-government organizations (NGOs), held at the M.I.C.E. Center in Quezon City on Friday, August 14, 2026. The city government also developed a school safety and emergency response guide to help schools respond to security threats and emergencies, I.A.D.D. (Identify, Avoid, Deny, Defend) protocol, which provides practical steps for students and school personnel to protect themselves and others during active threats. Photo/Analy Labor
