The Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM led plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sales in the Philippines during the first half of 2026, according to figures from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc.

Jetour Auto Philippines sold 1,272 units of the T1 Lightning i-DM from January to June. The SUV ranked as the country’s best-selling PHEV model in both the first and second quarters of the year.

The model also became the largest contributor to the brand’s local sales. It made up 62 percent of the 2,055 Jetour vehicles sold during the six months.

Jetour’s overall first-half sales rose by 182 percent from the 729 units recorded during the same period last year. June also delivered a strong result, with 502 vehicles sold compared with 168 units in June 2025. That represented an increase of 199 percent.

Most of the growth came from plug-in hybrids. Jetour Auto Philippines recorded 1,926 PHEV sales from January to June, up 792 percent from the same period in 2025.

Its six-month PHEV total also reached 91 percent of the volume that the company recorded for the whole of last year. The figures show how quickly plug-in hybrid models have become central to Jetour’s business in the country.

The T1 Lightning i-DM uses the brand’s plug-in hybrid system, which allows electric driving on shorter trips while retaining a gasoline engine for longer journeys.

This gives owners another option when charging access is limited or when a trip extends beyond the vehicle’s electric range.

The SUV also comes with driver-assistance systems and connected cabin features. Its shape and interior space place it among models aimed at buyers who still want the room and road presence of an SUV.

Jetour Auto Philippines managing director Miguelito Jose credited the result to growing customer confidence in the brand. He said buyers now look for better efficiency and useful technology alongside the usual demands of daily driving.

The company plans to build on the T1 Lightning i-DM’s sales through its “Time To Switch. Upgrade to Electric.” campaign. It will also continue to promote PHEVs as a practical step toward electrified driving, especially for motorists who are not yet ready to depend fully on charging.
