  • GAC International Philippines has joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) as the brand rebuilds its local operations under a fully owned subsidiary.

The membership gives GAC a place in industry discussions involving automotive policies, programs and standards.

It also puts the company alongside other manufacturers working with government agencies and industry groups on matters that affect the local vehicle market.

GAC International senior vice president Steven Wang said the membership supports the company’s expansion plans in the Philippines.

He added that the brand wants to take a more active role in the industry as it strengthens its local presence.

Earlier this year, GAC reorganized its Philippine operations under GAC International Philippines. The local business now handles GAC Motor, Aion and Hyptec under the One GAC strategy.

The new structure places the three brands under one operation for sales, aftersales and customer support. GAC said this should help improve parts availability, service coordination and dealer support across the country.

The company currently has 30 dealerships nationwide and operates a local parts warehouse. It also offers warranties of up to five years or 150,000 kilometers for internal combustion models.

Electric vehicles come with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty. Coverage for the battery, electric motor and control system extends to eight years or 200,000 kilometers. New vehicle owners also receive two years of roadside assistance.

GAC said its local plans will include both traditional engine models and electric vehicles as it expands its lineup and dealer reach.

GAC has leveraged 20 years of collaboration with Toyota and Honda to emerge as a dominant force in automotive tech.

A legacy of world-class manufacturing and hybrid expertise ensures that every GAC vehicle adheres to the most stringent quality and performance benchmarks.

By harmonizing international engineering with localized precision, GAC delivers high-performance durability tailored specifically for the Filipino driver’s peace of mind.
