The Kia Sportage will return to the Philippine market on 24 July with a turbo-hybrid powertrain and a revised exterior.
Kia Philippines will introduce the compact crossover during the Kia Tech Tour at The Kia Movement in SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City.
The vehicle will remain on display, with test drives available, until 26 July. Prices and complete specifications are expected to be announced during the official launch.
Until then, its exterior offers an early look at how much the Sportage has changed.
The refreshed model replaces the pre-facelift version’s boomerang-shaped daytime running lights with upright lighting units positioned beside a broad rectangular grille.
Kia’s Star Map lighting pattern runs along the edges and gives the Sportage a closer visual link to newer models such as the Sorento and Carnival.
A flatter hood and more upright front end also give it a broader appearance. The lower bumper has a wide opening with contrasting silver trim.
Its side profile keeps the familiar compact crossover shape, with black cladding around the wheel arches and a roofline that slopes slightly toward the rear.
Both Philippine variants use 18-inch alloy wheels and come with roof rails, electrically folding side mirrors and a rear spoiler.
Changes at the rear are more restrained. Kia revised the LED taillamp graphics and bumper while retaining the dark trim that links the lamps. Both variants also receive a power tailgate with adjustable opening height.
The listed exterior colors are Gravity Grey, Wolf Grey and Snow White Pearl. Heritage Blue is reserved for the SX variant.
The Sportage has been absent from Kia’s Philippine range since 2021. Its return introduces the nameplate’s first turbo-hybrid version in the local market, though further details will remain under wraps until launch day.
