I’ll admit it: I’m usually skeptical whenever a beauty product blows up on TikTok.

Every time something goes viral, I always ask myself, “Is it worth the hype?”

I’ve been burned by enough trending products to know that not everything with millions of views deserves a spot in my skincare routine.

But after hearing recommendation after recommendation from friends—and seeing Biodance all over my FYP — I finally gave in.

It actually started with their toner pads, which I now use to prep my skin before makeup because they leave my face feeling smooth and hydrated. Unlike your usual cotton sheet mask drenched in essence, Biodance uses a hydrogel material that feels more like soft jelly than fabric. It hugs the skin really well and has a cooling effect that instantly makes your face feel refreshed.

The biggest reason it went viral? As you wear it, the opaque white mask slowly turns translucent, almost as if it melts into your skin. It’s oddly satisfying to watch — and yes, it definitely makes for great TikTok content — but thankfully, the results aren’t just for show.

Applying it was a bit tricky at first since the hydrogel is slippery, but once it was in place, it stayed put surprisingly well. I even wore it overnight, half expecting to wake up with the mask somewhere on my pillow.

To my surprise, it stayed in place the entire night.

The next morning, my skin looked noticeably more hydrated, smoother and plumper. It wasn’t one of those unrealistic transformations social media loves to exaggerate, but my face definitely looked well-rested, healthy and makeup-ready. It gave me that fresh, dewy glow that usually takes multiple skincare steps to achieve.

For days when your skin feels stressed from blasting air conditioning, long commutes, or pollution, the Hydro Cera-No Real Deep Mask (Green) works like first aid. Its ceramides and panthenol help calm and replenish the skin barrier, making it ideal after long workdays or travel.

Then there’s the newest addition that’s been making waves online: the Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask (Purple). Featuring salmon PDRN and caviar extract, it’s designed to improve elasticity and help skin look firmer and more revitalized. It’s the mask I’d save for when my skin needs a little extra TLC.

The verdict

It’s easy to dismiss viral skincare as another fleeting internet obsession, but Biodance genuinely surprised me.

Yes, the translucent hydrogel effect is fun and definitely helped make it famous online. But beyond the gimmick is a mask that actually delivers what most people are looking for: hydrated, plump and healthy-looking skin.

Will one mask completely transform your complexion overnight? Of course not.

But if you’re looking for an easy way to give your skin an extra boost before an event — or simply want a relaxing self-care night — I’d say the brand earns its place among the TikTok beauty favorites.

Sometimes, the hype really is deserved.
