The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) launched a digital clearance renewal service allowing citizens to renew their documents in as little as five minutes via the government’s centralized mobile application.
In a statement, the NBI disclosed that the new agency’s eClearance service is now integrated into the eGovPH Super App.
This is a project developed in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, NBI director Melvin A. Matibag and DICT Secretary Henry R. Aguda attended the formal unveiling at the NBI headquarters here.
The integration allows verified app users to retrieve, renew and access a digital copy of their NBI clearance online, eliminating the need to visit physical offices or stand in long lines.
“This initiative goes beyond technology,” Matibag said. “It reflects our vision of a modern NBI that embraces innovation, improves operational efficiency, and places citizens at the center of government service delivery.”
Matibag credited the project’s launch to the technical collaboration between the NBI and the DICT.
He also cited that the secure connection between the eGovPH app and the NBI database ensures service speed without compromising data integrity.
The rollout is part of the Marcos administration’s broader digital transformation campaign aimed at streamlining public services under its “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative.
