Filipino fashion and style icon Jo Ann Bitagcol beautifully commemorates her landmark 30th year in the industry with the unveiling of a dynamic new pop-up space in Power Plant Mall, Makati City.
Centered around the theme of profound gratitude, the experiential space introduces her highly-anticipated collection, “Thank You, Universe. Love, Bitagcol.”
The launch marks a monumental milestone for the multi-hyphenate creative, honoring her vast artistic journey as a premier supermodel, an acclaimed lenswoman and a pioneering cultural designer. Serving as the first of multiple planned celebrations for her three-decade legacy, the intimate, homey retail space offers patrons an immersive look into how her creative world has grown to embrace the full spectrum of contemporary lifestyle design.
Stepping into the pop-up reveals a breathtaking synthesis of her past, present and future. The space bridges disciplines by pairing her signature silhouettes — including her revered boxy shirts, kamisas and sporty kimonos — with fresh sartorial additions like delicate lace garments and structural bubble sayas.
True to her identity as a culture champion, these garments showcase her distinct digital photo-prints of archival Filipino textiles alongside a brand-new expansion into home accessories, featuring ornate serving trays, large-scale prints on silk and decorative lifestyle accents.
Transforming the retail venue into a veritable gallery, the installation further highlights Bitagcol’s latest fine art paintings, reinforcing her status as one of the country’s most versatile artistic forces. A testament of her iconic revelry, guests from the fashion, design and lifestyle world arrived at the event unconditionally dressed in their own pieces by Bitagcol. The Bitagcol pop up at the second floor of Powerplant Mall, Rockwell runs until the end of July.
