Topline Equity Corp. is expanding into offshore marine services through a new joint venture with Singapore-based Aesen Pte. Ltd. to capture opportunities from an estimated P600 billion pipeline of local offshore wind, land reclamation, and other major infrastructure projects.

The listed company said Thursday its subsidiary, Topline Offshore Inc., has launched Aesen Topline Offshore Corp., which will provide specialized marine services to support offshore wind, offshore energy, bridge construction, land reclamation, coastal development, and other large-scale infrastructure projects.

“Through this joint venture, Topline is positioning itself to capture opportunities arising from an estimated P600 billion in investments in offshore wind, bridge construction and land reclamation projects in the coming years,” said Eugene Erik Lim, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Topline Group.

Decades of operational experience

“By bringing Aesen’s decades of operational experience in offshore services to the local market, we aim to provide the specialized vessels, logistics, and marine capabilities these developments will require,” he added.

The venture will also provide integrated supply chain services, including cargo handling, transportation, customs clearance, and freight coordination, to support the movement of equipment and materials for major infrastructure projects.

It will operate on a project basis, deploying vessels, equipment, and services across the country as needed.

Key growth market

As the tie-up advances negotiations for several land reclamation, offshore wind, and other major infrastructure projects, Aesen chief executive officer and director Darren Ang said the country stands as a key growth market for offshore energy and marine infrastructure.

“The Philippines represents one of the most exciting growth markets for offshore energy and marine infrastructure in the region.

As offshore wind developments move closer to execution and infrastructure investments continue to accelerate, there is an increasing need for experienced maritime partners capable of delivering safe, reliable, and efficient project support services,” Ang said.
