Fresh from being named the official Kapuso Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, Caprice Cayetano described as “Ang Demure Daughter ng Quezon City”, is making the most of life beyond the house—and she's proving she's far from limiting herself to just one passion.
Caprice is fully embracing what Gen Z calls a "sidequest era"—a phase of trying hobbies, learning new skills, and saying yes to passions outside of your main hustle. Borrowed from gaming, where sidequests are optional missions that help your character grow, the term has become a favorite among young people who believe life isn't just about one goal—it's about exploring everything that sparks joy along the way.
For Caprice, that means filling her free time with creative projects, gaming sessions, and even plans to learn how to bake.
"Whenever I have free time after work, I explore different sidequests," Caprice shares. "I make bracelets, play mobile games, and hopefully soon, I'll start baking pastries."
One of the "quests" closest to her heart is bracelet-making, a hobby inspired by her mom, who used to create and sell handmade accessories. Beyond making cute accessories, it's become a reminder that slowing down can be just as rewarding as staying busy.
"That's where I realized how patient I can be," she says. "You string the beads one by one, and when you finish, there's a different kind of fulfillment."
Another dream on her growing list? Baking.
Inspired by her dad's love for cooking, Caprice hopes to eventually make pastries that people will remember her for.
"I'm really excited to try baking pastries. If Daddy is known for his main dishes, maybe someday I'll be known for pastries," the new face of Smart Prepaid's Power All laughs.
Of course, no Gen Z sidequest list would be complete without gaming.
For Caprice, mobile games are more than just a way to pass the time—they're also how she bonds with the people closest to her.
"I discovered mobile gaming through my cousins, who are also my best friends. They're my gaming squad."
Exploring different interests has also become a way for Caprice to better understand herself, something she feels resonates with many people her age.
"I think we Gen Zs enjoy having lots of sidequests because they help us discover new things about ourselves and even the paths we may want to pursue."
Whether she's curating the perfect Instagram post, scrolling through TikTok, or connecting with fans online, Caprice says music is always part of the experience.
"I love choosing the songs for my posts because they help tell the story and match the vibe of every photo."
Now that she's stepping into a brand-new chapter after her PBB win, Caprice isn't rushing to define herself by just one title. Actress, content creator, gamer, future baker—she's happy to explore every version of herself that comes her way.
And if there's one thing she's learned from embracing her own sidequest era, it's this, "Keep exploring. Choose sidequests that genuinely make you happy because those experiences help you become the best version of yourself."
