SEA Health Innovation Hub (SEA HI Hub) has launched a regional healthcare innovation alliance, signing landmark agreements with leading universities, hospitals, academic medical centers, and healthcare providers to accelerate medical innovation across Southeast Asia.

The agreements were announced during the SEA Health Summit 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, under the theme "AI in Health and Longevity."

Developed by RISE and SeaX Ventures, SEA HI Hub is a non-profit platform that connects researchers, hospitals, investors, regulators, universities, corporations, and governments to speed up the commercialization of healthcare innovations.

Rather than serving as a traditional academic network, the platform aims to help health technologies move from research to clinical validation and large-scale deployment.

"What happened today is not just a signing ceremony," said Dr. Kid Parchariyanon, founder of SEA HI Hub. "It is a declaration that the time has come to move from being a place that treats patients to a place that creates the innovations that change how the world treats them."

The initiative is built around four pillars: expanding access to clinical trials, connecting startups with investors, accelerating regulatory approvals, and improving market access across Southeast Asia.

Its founding network includes leading Thai universities, government agencies, and healthcare providers such as Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), Bumrungrad Hospital, MedPark Hospital, ViMUT Hospital, and several others.

SEA HI Hub said it is already in talks with partners in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with plans to expand its regional network to serve 100 million patients within the next three years.

The organization said its long-term goal is to position Southeast Asia as a global destination for clinical research, health technology development, and medical innovation while strengthening healthcare systems across the region.
