Some 545 students of Kapitangan National High School in Paombong, Bulacan are set to benefit from learning equipment donated by SM City Marilao and SM City Baliwag on 24 June.
The two SM malls turned over chairs, tables, computer units, and other school furniture to help improve the school's learning environment and reaffirm their commitment to education and community development.
The donated equipment is expected to strengthen the school's digital learning capabilities while providing students and teachers with more conducive spaces for studying, collaboration, and classroom activities.
Representatives from SM City Marilao and SM City Baliwag joined school administrators, faculty members, and students during the turnover ceremony.
SM Regional Operations Head and Assistant Vice President for Mall Operations Ana Datu said education remains a key driver of community development.
"Community growth can be effectively sparked by education. We aspire to support schools in delivering high-quality education and give kids resources that foster learning, creativity, and meaningful engagement through initiatives like these," Datu said.
School officials thanked SM for the donation, saying the equipment will address the immediate needs of at least 545 learners while providing dedicated spaces for studying, reading, group work, and other educational activities.
The initiative forms part of SM Supermalls' continuing community programs aimed at supporting education and creating lasting benefits for host communities.
