EastWest has launched its EasyMobility for Community Program with the turnover of vehicles to non-profit partners in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The bank held a ceremonial signing and turnover at its Escario Store in Cebu City, where it donated sub-compact sedans to institutions involved in education, skills training and community outreach.
The initial rollout covers partner groups in Cebu, Negros Occidental and Davao City. Recipients include CITE Technical Institute Inc., St. John Bosco Parish in Liloan, Don Bosco Training Center in Liloan, Don Bosco Provincial House in Cebu City, Don Bosco Spirituality Center in Davao City, St. John Bosco Parish in Murcia, Mary Our Help Technical Institute for Women in Minglanilla and Don Bosco Retreat House in Talisay City.
EastWest said the vehicles will help the groups handle logistics, field work and outreach activities in the communities they serve.
The bank said the program is meant to support organizations that need reliable transport to continue their work in education, training and community service.
Don Bosco institutions and partners run programs in youth formation, values education and technical training. CITE provides technical education aligned with industry needs to help prepare students for jobs and livelihood opportunities.
EastWest CEO Jerry G. Ngo said the program aims to help partner institutions bring education, skills training and services closer to communities.
“At EastWest, we believe in enabling our partners to do more and reach further,” Ngo said.
The bank said it plans to expand the EasyMobility for Community Program to more partner institutions nationwide after the VisMin rollout.
EastWest is a Filipino-owned universal bank and a subsidiary of Filinvest Development Corporation. The bank said it is not affiliated with any foreign financial institution using a similar name.
