The Quezon City Police District on Sunday highlighted its administrative and operational accomplishments for the week of 22 to 28 February 2026, underscoring efforts to enhance readiness, promote personnel welfare and strengthen community policing.
QCPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said key initiatives focused on healthcare services, recognition of personnel, community engagement and operational support.
The QCPD Medical and Dental Unit provided healthcare services to 401 beneficiaries, including police personnel, their dependents, civilians and Persons Under Police Custody. Services included health monitoring of detainees, medical consultations and treatment, chest X-ray examinations and dental care.
The unit also conducted pre-medical evaluations for personnel scheduled to undergo their Physical Fitness Test in their birth month of March 2026.
In recognition of exemplary service, the district conferred 8,671 commendations and 80 awards to personnel for dedication, discipline and outstanding performance.
As part of its community policing initiatives, QCPD conducted 156 community engagement activities across barangays in Quezon City to foster trust, cooperation and shared responsibility in maintaining peace and order.
To ensure operational readiness, the district facilitated the repair and maintenance of 37 service vehicles to enhance mobility and response capabilities.
Through the QCPD Damayan Program under the ODESPO, burial assistance amounting to P20,000 each was extended to three personnel to support their families during times of need.
“The true strength of the QCPD lies in the well-being, competence, and morale of our personnel. By providing continuous support and recognition, and by strengthening our partnership with the community, we ensure that our organization remains vigilant, responsive, and fully committed in safeguarding the safety and security of QCitizens,” Silvio said.
