

DAVAO City — The Aboitiz Football Club (AFC) Season 25 kicked off Saturday with 120 teams from all over Mindanao taking part.
Davao Light and Power Company president and chief executive officer Enric Zak Tia, Davao South Regional Football Association president Ernie Ortonio Jr. and Impact Load Climate Action of the Aboitiz Foundation Inc.’s Welfredo Dallumpines welcomed the teams in grand rites highlighting the traditional ceremonial kick off which formally opened the tournament at the Tionko Turf.
In AFC’s Season 25, 13 age-group categories were featured including the 16U and 18U classes which served as a national platform for youth development and competitive excellence.
Champions in the Under 16 and Under 18 divisions will advance to the AFC Champions League set in the last week of May at the Aboitiz Pitch in Batangas.
