Moreno next for Taduran?
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso on Tuesday, 24 February, led the groundbreaking of Binondominium 2 in San Nicolas, the city’s sixth vertical housing project under his administration. The mid-rise building will feature 98 two-bedroom units and basic community facilities, including a daycare center and multipurpose hall, aimed at providing dignified housing for low-income families.
Sharing his own experience of eviction while growing up in Tondo, Domagoso said the project is personal. “Ang mahirap sa pagiging iskwater, galing ka sa eskwelahan pag-uwi mo, hindi ka sigurado kung ’yung bahay mo nakatusok pa,” he said. He reiterated the city’s commitment to investing in minimum basic needs such as housing, education and healthcare, urging future beneficiaries to safeguard the property once completed.
