Highlighting the city’s various child welfare initiatives, including programs addressing violence against women and children, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday, 23 February, underscored the importance of strengthening the adoption program.
In a weekly flag-raising ceremony, Sotto congratulated the administrators of Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home, Inc., a Pasig-based non-profit childcare organization, for being officially certified and recognized by the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) after receiving a certificate of recognition in November 2025.
The mayor expressed appreciation for their continued partnership with the city government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
Sotto reaffirmed the city’s commitment to providing more efficient and responsive adoption programs, noting that adoption cases in the Philippines are often simulated or left without meaningful progress.
The mayor also called for continued enhancements to adoption services and related programs to better serve Pasigueño children and youth.
