For years, the SexBomb Girls built a bond that extended beyond dance routines and television appearances — one anchored in friendship, shared growth, and personal journeys offstage. Recently, however, conversations surrounding the group turned emotional after remarks made by Alvin Aragon, husband of former member Izzy Trazona.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, member Jopay Paguia chose calm reflection over confrontation, admitting that what hurt most was how the issue expanded.

“Pinaka-sad at masakit na part doon sa aming mga Sexbomb is yung nag-name drop na siya, nadamay na yung mga asawa namin. Yun, be careful lang sana doon sa mga bibitawan mong salita.”

Rather than dismiss faith — often cited in the discussion — she emphasized responsibility in how beliefs are communicated.

“Meron tamang salita kung paano mo siya bibitawan. Sabi nga, tinuturo lagi sa amin is if you want to disciple ang isang tao, kailangan makita sa’yo.”

Respecting choices, protecting relationships

Despite the online noise, Jopay clarified that her relationship with Izzy remains rooted in affection and respect. The decision not to reunite with the group, she said, was never an issue for her.

“Kay Izzy wala naman akong masasabi, alam naman niyang mahal na mahal ko siya. Nirerespeto ko kung ano yung naging desisyon niya from the start, wala akong masabi doon.”

She also acknowledged Alvin’s right to his own beliefs, but pointed out that delivery matters — especially when audiences are diverse.

“Kay Alvin, nirespeto naman namin kung ano yung gusto niya sa buhay niya. Yung mga sinabi niya, it’s in the Bible naman talaga. Nasa Bibliya yun. Pero siguro for us, siguro dapat careful tayo sa pagsabi. Kasi hindi naman lahat believers eh. Kung believers man sila, hindi ganun yung approach sana.”

Silence, for now

Jopay revealed she has not contacted Izzy or other members since the controversy surfaced — not out of anger, but because the situation still feels tender.

“Hindi ako mahilig mag-message sa mga kagrupo ko, so pag may problem doon lang ako magme-message. Kasi masakit pa for me. Nadamay na yung asawa namin. So parang teka lang naman.”

For her, healing does not require a public spectacle — only accountability and sincerity.

And if there is one message she leaves, it is not hostility but hope:

“Alvin, kung may problema ka, ipagpe-pray ka namin.”

In a group long known for high-energy performances and cheerful nostalgia, the moment revealed a quieter reality: sisterhood is not measured only by reunions on stage, but by how people speak — and care — when the music stops.
