Are you happy in your current relationship? Well, a survey shows that this year, many will be having a sad Valentine’s Day.
The Social Weather Stations (SWS) Fourth Quarter 2025 survey found that only 46% of adult Filipinos are very happy with their love life, the lowest recorded since the survey began in 2004.
The survey, conducted from 24 to 30 November among 1,200 adults nationwide, also revealed that 40% of respondents said they could be happier, while 14% reported having no love life at all.
Happiness with love life was highest among married individuals—57% of women and 55% of men reported being very happy.
Those in live-in relationships were less satisfied, and singles reported the lowest levels of happiness, with only 22% of women and 28% of men saying they were very happy.
Compared with 2024, satisfaction rose slightly among married women and single men but fell among married men and women in live-in partnerships.
The findings highlight the continuing struggle of many Filipinos to find fulfillment in their romantic lives.
The survey sampled respondents from Metro Manila, Luzon outside Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao, with a national sampling error of ±3%.
