Malacañang on Wednesday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains focused on governance and delivering public services, regardless of fluctuations in his public satisfaction ratings.
“The President is not affected by the numbers, whether they go up or down. His focus is on working,” Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in Filipino during a Palace briefing.
“Whatever needs to be delivered to our fellow Filipinos, that is what the President and this administration will continue to do,” she added.
Castro’s remarks came after the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, conducted from 20 to 29 June, showed that 38 percent of Filipino adults were satisfied with President Marcos’ performance in the second quarter of 2026, up from 33 percent in March.
The percentage of dissatisfied respondents fell to 45 percent from 49 percent, while those who were undecided declined slightly to 17 percent from 18 percent.
Castro said the administration does not dismiss survey results, noting that Cabinet officials use them to determine which concerns require greater attention.
“We do not disregard these surveys. Members of the Cabinet study them to identify what initiatives should be pushed and which areas need more attention,” she said.
