Oscar‑winning actress Michelle Yeoh will be awarded with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony hosted by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on 18 February.

The event, recognizing her exceptional contributions to cinema, will take place at 6927 Hollywood Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time, where Yeoh will receive the 2,836th star in the Motion Pictures category.

“Michelle’s extraordinary talent, grace, and groundbreaking career have left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame.

The ceremony will feature remarks from celebrated filmmakers Ang Lee and Jon M. Chu, both of whom have collaborated with Yeoh on some of her most iconic films, as well as entertainment journalist Jenelle Riley.

Yeoh, 63, has enjoyed a globe‑spanning career that defies convention. Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, she first gained international recognition in Hong Kong action films in the 1990s before breaking into Hollywood with roles in major productions such as Tomorrow Never Dies and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

She achieved a historic milestone in 2023 by becoming the first Asian woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Yeoh has continued to take on prominent roles in major franchises, including Wicked: For Good (2025), and is slated to appear in forthcoming projects such as Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, along with high‑profile series and independent films.

In addition to her film work, Yeoh is known for her advocacy on global issues. She has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program since 2016.
