The Marinduque Police Provincial Office arrested a suspected drug personality listed as a street-level individual after allegedly selling shabu to a police officer acting as a poseur-buyer on 9 February 2026 in Mogpog.
Based on police reports, the suspect sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000 during the buy-bust operation.
Authorities also confiscated three small plastic sachets weighing about 10 grams, with an estimated street value of P67,000.
The suspect allegedly violated Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is currently under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.
The operation was led by the Mogpog Municipal Police Station, with assistance from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region IV-B, the Marinduque Police Provincial Office Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Regional Intelligence Unit–Provincial Intelligence Team, the Provincial Mobile Force Platoon, and the Buenavista Municipal Police Station.
