The Muntinlupa City Police Station arrested a listed high-value individual during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, on Sunday evening, 8 February.
At around 6:20 p.m., operatives of the Muntinlupa City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspect, identified as alias “Chong,” 56, a resident of the barangay.
The suspect was apprehended for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act; and Republic Act No. 9516 for illegal possession of explosives.
Seized during the operation were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 51.85 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P352,580.
Also recovered were one .38-caliber revolver with four live rounds of ammunition, one MK2 fragmentation hand grenade, a black sling bag, and the marked P1,000 buy-bust money.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation and investigation prior to the filing of appropriate criminal complaints before the proper judicial authorities.
