The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) issued citations to 75 individuals during a series of coordinated anti-crime operations across several neighborhoods Saturday night, authorities said.
The synchronized operations, known as “Oplan Bulabog,” targeted Sitio San Roque in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa and Barangay San Martin de Porres in Cubao. Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio led the task force in Barangay Pag-asa, while Police Col. Joel Villanueva, deputy district director for administration, oversaw officers in Barangay San Martin de Porres.
Silvio said the measures aim to mobilize police efforts to safeguard residents through thorough foot patrols in neighborhoods and alleyways.
He said that the operations are part of continuing efforts to promote a safer environment for Quezon City residents, in line with directives from Philippine National Police Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. and National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin.
During the sweep in Sitio San Roque, police arrested a woman identified by the alias “Geraldine” on a theft warrant issued by a Metropolitan Trial Court in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
In the same area, 28 individuals were issued Ordinance Violation Receipts for public disturbance, while four motorists received Traffic Violation Receipts. Two other individuals were identified as suspects through the district’s automated verification system.
In Barangay San Martin de Porres, Villanueva’s group apprehended 43 individuals for various public and traffic violations. Authorities also impounded three motorcycles under the District Traffic Enforcement Unit.
