Nearly 4,500 runners and pets participated in the Manila leg of Takbo #ParaSaLife 2026, the flagship wellness run of Home Credit Philippines, held at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds on 1 February.
Now in its second year, the run was organized in partnership with RUNRIO and featured race categories catering to runners of all levels, including a 1-kilometer pet run, as well as 3K, 5K, and 10K distances.
Participants included beginners, experienced runners, families, and fur parents, with the event emphasizing fitness, community engagement, and overall well-being.
The Manila leg was supported by Slimmers World, Park Access, and Security Bank as gold sponsors, while Pocari Sweat served as the official electrolyte drink. Citadines Bay was the official hotel partner, and Cignal and Pilipinas Live were named official media partners.
Several brands also joined the event through wellness booths and post-run activities, contributing to what organizers described as a vibrant race village experience.
Beyond the races, participants took part in warm-up and recovery sessions and visited interactive booths across the venue. Finishers received tote bags containing hydration drinks, snacks, wellness items, and daily essentials from Home Credit and its partners.
“Overall wellness is key to achieving financial confidence,” said Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of Home Credit Philippines. “Through Takbo #ParaSaLife, we celebrate the importance of caring for ourselves. Every step, every goal, and every run strengthens not only the body but also the confidence to make empowered decisions in life and finances. When people are healthier and more balanced, they are better equipped to pursue their goals and do more #ParaSaLife.”
Following the Manila event, Takbo #ParaSaLife 2026 will head to Cebu on 29 March at Citi de Mare, again in partnership with RUNRIO, Security Bank, and Park Access. Organizers said the Cebu leg will feature the same race categories and wellness-focused activities for runners and pets.
Home Credit Philippines said registration for the Cebu leg remains ongoing.
