A provincial-level most wanted person was arrested inside a jail facility in Rodriguez, Rizal, on Sunday morning.
The suspect was identified only by the alias “Win,” a 32-year-old, single, unemployed male.
According to police, a tracker team served the warrant of arrest against the accused inside the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station custodial facility for a case involving Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 75 in San Mateo, with bail recommended at P300,000.
The accused remains under the custody of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station while police prepare the return of the warrant of arrest to the issuing court.
Rizal police provincial director Police Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo said “the successful operation is a testament to the intensified campaign of the Rizal Police Provincial Office against the region's most wanted criminals, as part of their objective to maintain peace, order, and public safety.”
